Matt Atkinson, 2005 Morris High School graduate and former GAVC criminal justice student is currently attending Joliet Junior College and will transfer to Western University this fall to complete his bachelor's degree. Matt is also employed as a private investigator with Midwest Private Investigations. He talked with the Criminal Justice II class about the job duties of a private investigator and showed several surveillance videos of cases he has worked. Matt told the class that he is the youngest person the company has hired and they hired him as a result of having 2 years of criminal justice education and participating in SKILLS USA while at GAVC. Matt has been employed with the company since graduating from high school. Matt also stressed the importance of report writing to the students.
