X-Box Modification
by Jim Falbo
September 09, 2007
The students modified an X-Box controller to make the look function respond to light instead of the movement of a joystick. This allows the player to move his or her head to make the character in the game look around.
Students Learned : soldering, variable resistance, fixed resistance, measuring resistance, feedback control, circuit board tracing, and light control.
Related Subjects : In home wiring a variable resistor can make a light dim and brighten. This is the same control used in the X-Box.
