BPA Students Compete State Level

Grundy Area Vocational Center Computer Applications students attended the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference on March 6-8, 2008, in Oakbrook, IL. Students demonstrated occupational and leadership skills in the Workplace Skills Assessment Program contests. The contests that students competrf in were Desktop Publishing, Keyboarding, Database, Graphic Design Promotion, Video Production, Interview Skills, Prepared Speaking, and Cisco.
Students attending the BPA State Leadership Conference were
Tanner Berg, Rob Pucel Andrew Tondini and Alisha Youngblood
(Morris); John Bauman, Alex Bloom, Jessica Musgranve, Keith Randt
and Danny Roland (Coal City) and Dan Studnicka (Minooka).
Approximately 650 secondary students throughout the State of
Illinois will participate in the Business Professionals of
America State Leadership Conference. Activities
included general sessions with keynote speakers, business
meetings, contests and tours of Chicago area sites! The
highlight of the conference was the presentation of the awards to
the winners of the state contests.
