GAVC Hosts Annual 8th Grade Construction Fair

On September 9th & 10th, GAVC will partner with Three Rivers
Construction Alliance for its eighth annual 8th Grade Construction
Fair. Nearly 600 eighth graders in Grundy County will visit over
these two days to get hands-on experience while learning about the
construction trades. Presenters promote the bridge between
academics and career and technical education by stressing the need
and importance of mathematics, science and communication skills to
be successful in these careers. Valuable tips like work ethics,
continual training and education, and good attendance are also
