CRIMINAL JUSTICE GETS MORE COLLEGE CREDITS!!!
by Craig Williamson
The Criminal Justice Classes at GAVC have recently been granted additional college credits for their programs through Joliet Junior College. Starting in August of 2009, the students in Criminal Justice 1 that sign up for Dual Credits will receive 3 college credits for Introduction to Law Enforcement and 3 college credits for Introduction to Criminal Justice.
The second year students will receive 3 college credits for Criminal Law and 3 college credits for Juvenile Delinquency. Students that are in the class for both years have a possibility of earning a total of 12 college credits in a core subject area. What a break for the parents and students! Mr Hanley and I would like to thank Mr Copes and Mr Hulbert of the GAVC for their groundwork in getting this done and Mr Dan Kreidler and Ms Kim Karlberg of Joliet Junior College for working with us.
Any further questions about this tremendous opportunity, contact either of the instructors at the GAVC or Mr Copes and Mr Hulbert.
