CMT Student Takes Third Place in Cisco Networking Academy Video Contest

by Leanne Falbo

September 11, 2009

Back at the end of the 2008 - 2009 school year, the Cisco Networking Academy announced the "Why I'm Excited About IT" Video Competition for students enrolled in one of their academies.  There was a contest for high school students, one for post-secondary students, and one for academy alumni.  Their instructions were to create a 3 minute video about why they're excited about Information Technology and Networking.  Craig Brown, a student in CMT I, decided to enter the contest with his creative video, "IT's Everywhere". He did a very nice job with the video and won third place in the nation-wide contest. His prize was a $450 Visa gift card.  In addition, his video along with the other winning videos were the centerpieces for the Cisco Networking Academy Conferences held over the summer in Orlando and Denver.
