GAVC Door Competition

GAVC held a door competition between all programs on who could decorate a door with the theme "Opening the Door to Your Future". The Automotive Technology students made a paper door with brochures and pictures of all the automotive colleges and trade schools that visit us. Their idea was to have the trade schools and colleges be what they will be doing in the future after GAVC, with the main over head door being picture of current successful careers or companies in the industry. They not only decorated the door with lights, pictures, and car parts, but also used a 70 AMC Javelin project drag car with a manic an dressed up as an auto technician. The doors were judged by Caroline Portlock, who is the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce Director.
