Criminal Justice receives donated squad car!!
by Craig Williamson
The Criminal Justice class has received a squad car donated to them. The squad was donated by Sheriff Terry Marketti of the Grundy County Sheriff's Police. The squad will be used in training the students in proper traffic stop techniques, placing of a squad car at crash scenes, and use of police equipment.
The Grundy County Sheriff has been very supportive of the program at GAVC and also participates with guest speakers and job shadow students that get to ride with the deputies on patrol to learn what the job as a police officer is like. We at GAVC and especially in Criminal Justice would like to thank Sheriff Marketti for his continued support and look forward to working with his agency for many years to come.
