Regional Superintendent of Schools visits CMT I Students

by Leanne Falbo

April 19, 2010

On Monday, April 19th, the Computer Maintenance Technology first year students were visited by the Regional Superintendent of Schools for Grundy and Kendall counties, Paul Nordstrom.  Mr. Nordstrom was visiting the students to thank them for their work with the Vista Learning Computer Donation project sponsored by the Regional Office of Education.  This project has provided many needy families in Grundy County with refurbished computers. CMT I students have provided much of the labor required in the refurbishing process.

Students have put into practice many of the concepts they are learning in class through this project.  Mr. Nordstrom explained to the students that the families receiving the donated computers are overwhelmed by the generosity of those involved in the Vista Learning project.  He explained that he is the fortunate one who gets to hand over the computers to the recipients and see first-hand their gratitude.
