Call 911! Health Occupations is Learning First Aid!

by Ruth Ann Squellati

August 30, 2010

One of the first objectives in Health Occupations I is to learn how to perform Basic First Aid. In class, students are learning the American Heart Association requirements for Allergic Reactions, Stroke, Heart Attack, Diabetes, Seizures, Shock, and of course BLEEDING (that you can see)! Students are excited to get into the basics of hands on care. One student, Shenaz, has already reported to the class that she has had to use her newly learned skills. Way to go 1st timeblock, it's been a great start to the week!
