Health Occupation students talk about their community awareness topic: child obesity
On November 6th, GAVC enjoyed another
successful night of meeting with current students, families,
potential students, community members, and vendors during Open
House. Approximately 650 guests, (200 more than last year),
attended the event where current students and GAVC staff showcased

The week of October 6 - 10, 2008 is Career and Technical Student
Organizations (CTSO) week. To kick off the week, the center had a
classroom door decorating contest. Caroline Portlock, the Grundy
County Chamber of Commerce Director judged the doors. The winner of

GAVC is happy to announce board members from
Coal City, Gardner-South Wilmington, Minooka and Morris High
Schools have approved to add Fire Science I as part of the course
offerings for Fall of the 2009 school year. Area Fire District
Chiefs and Joliet Junior College assisted GAVC with valuable input
