Community Awareness group members are Steve Ashby, Maris Lintern, Amanda Horvatin, and Shane O'Brien. They have been putting together many presentations regarding Childhood Obesity to make the community aware of this growing epidemic. For example, they have been involved in the Grundy County Cornfest Parade, presented a lesson on healthy eating to Cub Scout Troup 480, presented information on the radio 103.1 FM, interviewed by Morris Daily Herald, and had a presentation/activity booth at the Career Fair and Home & Health Expo...just to name a few ways they have alerted the community about healthy eating and exercise. These guys are on the move to lend a helping hand to reduce Childhood Obesity in Grundy County!
