Course Description 2026

This year-long Digital Media & Design course introduces students to industry-standard software used in graphic design, visual communication, and video production. Students will build creative and technical skills using Adobe Creative Cloud applications while completing real-world, portfolio-ready projects. 

 

During Semester 1, students focus on graphic design principles and tools using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

 

During Semester 2, students transition into video and motion media using Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

 

The course concludes with a 2–3 week Independent Study period, allowing students to deepen their skills in Adobe applications or explore new creative technologies such as Blender, Unreal Engine, and Unity through guided online tutorials.

 

This course emphasizes creativity, technical skill development, project management, collaboration, and real-world applications aligned with careers in digital media.
