Career and Technical Student Organizations

To the Distinguished Businesses and Organizations in and around Grundy County,

Grundy Area Vocational Center is grateful for businesses and organizations like yours. You are our parents, friends, family members, neighborhood leaders, and role models for our student body. We hope this letter finds you well! At GAVC, we offer an array of Career and Technical Education programs that prepare our students to be productive citizens in an ever-evolving global workforce, whether that be by entering the work force or furthering their education.  If you are unfamiliar with GAVC and the programs we offer to the students of Grundy County, most of our programs are designed around a 2-year cycle.  For the 2023-2024 school year, we offer:  Agriculture, Automotive Service Technology, Building Trades, Computer Graphics & Multimedia Design, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Entrepreneurship, Fire Science, Foundations of Teaching, Health Occupations, and Welding.

As we prepare for the upcoming year, we plan to expand our Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) opportunities to reach more students.  Our students take part in SkillsUSA as our main CTSO. This organization affords the students here at GAVC pathways to gain further in-depth knowledge in their chosen field and participate in both State and National competitions, which are beneficial to you as future employers of these students.   As we embark on new and exciting adventures, we solicit your assistance in the capacity of monetary and in-kind donations in order to allow all students to participate in these activities. Because of the increased registration, transportation, and supply fees, we need your support in order to keep the cost at a minimum for the students.

Annual Sponsorship opportunities for this year’s event are as follows:

  • Bronze Level Sponsor:          $250 (Recognized on GAVC’s Website)
  • Silver Level Sponsor:             $500 (CTSO Recognition Flyer)
  • Gold Level Sponsor:              $1,000 (CTSO Flyer & Banner to be displayed at GAVC & our functions)
  • Platinum Level Sponsor:     $2,500 (Flyer, Banner, & Business recognition on CTSO Spring T-Shirts)

** Private donations beyond the listed sponsorships are also available by using the same payment methods listed below.

**If sponsors would like to provide us with a banner, we will also display this along our fence at the front of our building.

**If sponsors would like to provide us with their logo, please email it to [email protected]

We trust that we can count on your support as we seek to enhance our CTE programs and create jobs for our future leaders! To accomplish this donation, please make a check out to GAVC and mail it to 1002 Union St., Morris, IL 60450 or drop it off.  We are in the process of working on a new online payment system.  Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Sincerely,

Mr. Lance Copes, Director
