Career and Technical Student Organizations
To the Distinguished Businesses and Organizations in and around Grundy County,
Grundy Area Vocational Center is grateful for businesses and organizations like yours. You are our parents, friends, family members, neighborhood leaders, and role models for our student body. We hope this letter finds you well and successful! At GAVC, we offer an array of Career and Technical Education programs that prepare our students to be productive citizens in an ever-evolving global workforce, whether that be by entering the work force or furthering their education. If you are unfamiliar with GAVC and the programs we offer to the students of Grundy County, most of our programs are designed around a 2-year cycle. For the 2022-2023 school year, we offer: Agriculture, Automotive Service Technology, Building Trades, Computer Graphics & Multimedia Design, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Engineering, Fire Science, Foundations of Teaching, Health Occupations, and Welding.
As we prepare for the upcoming year, we plan to expand our Career and Technical Student Organization opportunities to reach more students. Our students take part in FFA, SkillsUSA, and HOSA. These organizations afford the students here at GAVC pathways to gain even more knowledge in their chosen field, which is beneficial to you as future employers for these students. As we embark on new and exciting adventures, we solicit your assistance in the capacity of monetary and in-kind donations in order to allow all students to participate in these activities. Because of the increased registration, transportation, and supply fees, we need your support in order to keep the cost at a minimum for the students. Sponsorship opportunities for this year’s event are as follows:
** Private donations beyond what we are asking are also available by using the same payment methods listed below
We trust that we can count on your support as we seek to enhance our CTE programs and create jobs for our future leaders! There are a couple ways to accomplish this donation: a) make a check out to GAVC and mail to 1002 Union St., Morris, IL 60450 (or drop it off), or b) visit https://www.gavc-il.org/ and click Online Payments – Make a One-Time Payment – Donation to GAVC, and then note the Sponsor Level in the instruction box.
Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely,
Mr. Lance Copes, Director
