GEDC Internship Program
We are excited to announce the start of the 2020 Grundy County Summer Internship Program!
This is a partnership with Senator Sue Rezin, Grundy Economic Development Council and the Grundy Area Vocational Center to give students real world experience in a wide range of fields, all while collecting a paycheck!
We have 20 local companies providing over 40 paid internships to high school students. If you are a current Grundy County high school junior or senior attending Coal City, Gardner-South Wilmington, Minooka, Morris High School, or a GAVC student, we encourage you to apply for these great opportunities.
To apply please complete the online application by Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Before you start the application process, the list of companies and positions available are to the right for your convenience. Some of the information that is required for the application will include a letter of interest, current resume and a unofficial transcript in PDF format. In addition, please have the names of three references including their phone number and email.” Please have all necessary documentation prior to starting the application, so that you do not lose any progress during the application process. We also recommend the application process to be completed on a desktop, in order for the application to be saved before submission.
The application screening process will take place during the month of March. Interviews will be scheduled between March and May depending on the companies' availability. Notifications of job offers will be made by the end of May. Companies will contact you by phone or email, so be sure to check your emails and voicemails during this time. SUBMITTAL OF THIS APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE APPLICANT WILL BE GRANTED AN INTERVIEW.
