GEDC Internship Program
We are excited to announce the start of the 2019 Grundy County Summer Internship Program!
This is a partnership with Senator Sue Rezin, Grundy Economic Development Council and the Grundy Area Vocational Center to give students real world experience in a wide range of fields, all while collecting a paycheck!
We have 17 local companies providing over 40 paid internships to high school students. If you are a current Grundy County high school junior or senior attending Coal City, Gardner-South Wilmington, Minooka, Morris High School, or a GAVC student, we encourage you to apply for these great opportunities.
To apply please complete the online application by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Before you start the application process, the list of companies and positions available are to the right for your convenience. Some of the information that is required for the application will include a letter of interest, current resume and a unofficial transcript, along with three references in PDF format.
The application screening process will take place during the month of March. The qualified candidate’s applications will then advance to the participating companies for consideration.
Interviews will be scheduled during April and May. Notifications of job offers will be made by the end of May. Companies will contact you by phone or email, so be sure to check your emails and voicemails during this time.
