Welcome to the GAVC Agriculture Program!

I am excited to provide students with opportunities to explore the diverse and ever-growing field of agriculture through hands-on learning, leadership development, and real-world experiences.

The GAVC Agriculture Program is designed to prepare students for success in college, careers, and life by combining classroom instruction, laboratory experiences, Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), and involvement in the National FFA Organization. Students gain valuable skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, technical agriculture, and leadership while discovering their passions and career interests.

Agriculture today goes far beyond farming.  Students explore areas such as animal science, agronomy and plant science, agribusiness, agricultural mechanics, natural resources, food science, and emerging agricultural technologies. Through these experiences, students develop confidence, responsibility, and a strong work ethic that will benefit them in any future pathway they choose.

The GAVC Agriculture Program is committed to creating a positive and supportive environment where every student has the opportunity to grow, lead, and succeed. I encourage students to get involved, challenge themselves, and take advantage of the many opportunities the program offers.
