Hello, I am Brent Dite, Criminal Justice Instructor at the Grundy Area Vocational Center, Main Campus.
I started at GAVC after I retired from the Morris Police Department in 2016 after over 28+ years of police service. I served as a Patrol Officer, D.A.R.E. Instructor, Detective, Detective Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant, Deputy Chief, and my last 9 years as Chief of Police.
Additionally, I am the Chairman of the Morris Police Commission, former Chairman of the Grundy County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB), former Chairman of the Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad Policy Board, and the former Vice-Chairman of the Grundy County Sheriff's Office Merit Commission.
